Engagement process

• On-boarding
• Client specification interview & brief: I will ask you questions and request some documents to understand your business and define the material criteria we should focus on.
• Carbon accounting task force assignment: You will assign members of the organization to lead the engagement and ease the access to data and internal processes.
• Kick-off: a 45-minutes townhall session dedicated to explaining the carbon accounting process and building support of the involved parties and stakeholders.
• Process
• Carbon accounting is an ongoing process, reviewed quarterly. The peak of the process is the end of the reporting year.
• Throughout the entire period I will be collecting and streamlining data, providing insights and and notifications on the progress, and on a case-by-case basis, shifting my focal point to different areas of the organizations, diving deep into their emissions.
• During the period of the engagement, I encourage task force members to contact me, consult and seek support, and I also reach out to them to assure they’re on the right track.
• Handoff
• I highly recommend riding the momentum to set decarbonization goals and a broader climate & sustainability strategy, and to consider disclosing or reporting the emissions.
• On the concluding session, the task force and I will present an annual report accompanied with insights and recommendations.
• My goal is that by the end of the term, the in-house task force will be capable of managing the carbon accounting process independently from that point on, and I’ll be glad to stay in the loop, provide additional support, expand the scope of the project and improve the outcome with them.
